Slovenske gorice are famous for the vineyards that are spreading over the best geographical positions. One of them is the hill Lahonščak, placed between Ormož and Ljutomer.
Drago Medved wrote in his book Najlepše trte na slovenskem (Best Slovenian vines) in 1994: Lahonšèak is a hill of a special kind. It is nicely rounded and the vines are like gentlemen sitting in a classical theatrical arena, which is equally coming down to the plain.
The Swiss family Pongratz who owned the baroque castle in Dornava, have planted vine on the ridge of Lahonšcak in the early 18th Century.
The family Krajnc also has a long vine tradition, since the southern side of the hill is owned by the family for generations. Wine grooving has been a primary occupation of the family since 1988.

Vines, which grow on 4 hectares of land (15000 vines), ripen in our own wine cellar, built in the middle of the vineyard in 1888.

Top quality wines ripen in wine casks made of oak; inox containers preserve the youth and freshness of our wines.
The first wine, grown and bottled by the present landowner in 1983 and other wines of best vintages are stored in our archival cellar.
